What is Hyperledger Fabric?

The modular blockchain architecture and standard for enterprise-grade blockchain solutions. It is an open-source project from the Linux Foundation. It employs plug-and-play components to support a broad variety of use cases.

With over 120,000 participating companies and over 15,000 engineer contributors, Hyperledger Fabric provides a unique approach to a consensus that allows performance at scale while maintaining data privacy.

How does it work?

Hyperledger Fabric is a distributed ledger platform that is open, proven, and enterprise-grade.

It includes sophisticated privacy safeguards that ensure that only the data you want shared is shared with the network’s “permissioned” (known) members.

Benefits

Permissioned network
Establish decentralized trust in a network of known participants.

Confidentiality
Only expose the data you want to share with the people you want to share it with.

Pluggable architecture
Rather than a one-size-fits-all strategy, tailor the blockchain to industry requirements using a pluggable design.

Easy
Instead of learning new languages and architectures, program smart contracts in the languages your team already uses.
